The venue is located in Lower East Side and has 3 stages that open at 6-6:30 PM on a daily basis. Music performances start at 6-7 PM, but the best advice you can get is to come 15-30 minutes in advance to avoid the crowd outside and reserve a good spot near the stage. There are limited seats and the place can be packed very quickly, so being late is not a good idea.  The venue has over 10 artists performing on 3 stages every single day.  Drinks are pretty decent and you can get a glass of beer or a good cocktail for $5-10, a very reasonable price for New York City. If you are a true music lover who enjoys blues, country or any other traditional American music then this place is definitely for you. The Bowery Ballroom doesn’t have very many acts per day, but is still a good spot to hit for great music experience. Interior is very cozy and intimate with amazing sound quality inside.  Compare to Rockwood Music Hall this place does charge for each performance and the price will vary from $10 to $40 per ticket. Buying tickets online on their website thru Ticketmaster will usually save you $2 compare to the price at the door. The bar is located downstairs with a big variety of drinks at a good price.

3.       Sidewalk Café 94 Avenue A, New York, NY 10009

Sidewalk Café is a bar, a restaurant and also has daily performances from 7PM till 1AM. There are plenty seats inside where you can enjoy the music and share some with your friends or fellow music lovers.  You can order a burger or other food which makes this place very unique compare to many traditional music venues that only serve drinks and don’t provide food. If you got talent there is open mic every Monday where you can sign up and show your skills to others. All music events are free of charge with sometimes a two-something cover.

4.       Mercury Lounge 217 East Houston St. New York, NY 10002

Mercury Lounge has a mix of local bands with some big names playing there occasionally. Tickets aren’t so expensive and usually won’t cost you more than $10. The place doesn’t have many seats so prepare to stand for the entire performance or take small breaks to refill your drinks and continue to enjoy the music.

Every New Yorker knows about Webster Hall, the iconic place for night life and almost any big music event in the city. The place was built in 1886 and served as a theater. Webster Hall has five large different rooms for different music styles and performances: the Grand Ballroom (1400 people), Marlin Room (600 people), The Studio (400 people), Balcony Lounge and Sports Bar. Keep in mind that this place is always crowded so getting inside in advance and be in the front is the best strategy to enjoy your evening.
